The Algorithm Does NOT Care About You Or Your Well Being
I didn't spend much time creating this video. It's more or less an update with a twist. A little more outspoken than usual. I'm not blaming anyone or anything. I'm just stating what has become obvious to me. It's time for me to start creating content I really enjoy on another channel and maintain this channel only with the "how to" style videos.
Thanks to the true supporters and other creators that have been around for so many years. It's been a challenge and I have learned enough to start something different with confidence. STAY TUNED
I haven't used TikTok since the George Floyd BLM riots. It has been almost 4 years.

240SX Gets Clutch Parts Replaced AGAIN
Переглядів 119Місяць тому
The 240SX is one of those projects I spent more time and money than I should of. The car sits much of the time not being used. Every few months it sits, the clutch would stop operating. I ordered a new clutch master and slave cylinders last winter anticipating this repair. The Nissan needs some attention regardless if I am keeping it or not. I would prefer the car sells to someone that will act...

You saw it here FIRST Check out Detox Proxy to see the futon rack: ua-cam.com/video/q-Gn_XMHUkY/v-deo.html This little project came to me one day many months ago. Installing Engine Back Into My Forester - How To

I could have just slapped some head gaskets and clutch into this thing weeks ago. I really wanted to have it as clean as I could and I am happy I took all of the added hours. The old EJ251 looks great in the engine bay and should keep me going for quite some time. I managed to keep costs very low for this build having so many of the parts on hand. The oil pan, water pump, flywheel, pressure pla...
Forester Gets Rattle Can Paint Job - How To
Переглядів 1,9 тис.3 місяці тому
I have always felt that body work and paint are more of an artform than they are a labor task. The time required to get the desired results takes a lot of time and just as much patience. It would be nice to have taken a month to do a much better job of prepping and spraying. The results would be much cleaner than they are had I spent more time than I did. Regardless, I got the results I needed....
Getting The Forester Ready For Cheap Paint Job - How To

The Forester has had some incidents throughout its life. Fortunately in my hands it has mostly received repair and maintenance. The worst thing I have done to the Forester was let it sit on grass for a few years. Getting rid of as much rust as possible was priority but I also wanted to clean up some of the paint so that it stops getting any worse. I can see much of the front body parts were rep...
Forester Structural Rust Repair - How To

This was the unexpected part of the current project. I knew there would be some rust to clean but had no clue how much damage there was until the engine came out. I've wanted to clean up this engine for years. Finally over the past couple of weeks I managed to get this assembly to the point it is ready to drop back in looking all fresh and clean. Already having done one cylinder head off camera I decided to show as much as I could of doing the other side. Had this been a standard head gasket replacement, I would have already been finished. Prepping The Forester Block For Head Gaskets - How To

Got into cleaning up and resealing the block. Even though the head gaskets were the culprit of the oil leak, I wanted to replace the oil pan with another I had. I have been holding onto some of the parts for the Forester, a couple of years now. I know most of ...

Dude I'm so frustrated with Google as a whole right now. You should see the crazy stuff they're doing with their search algorithm right now. They've been CRUSHING small creators and giving all their traffic to sites like Reddit and Forbes. Great idea to split your content and be more targeted🙌🤙

    • @HomebrewSubaru
      @HomebrewSubaru 15 днів тому

Man splitting the content was one of the better things I decided on. Automotive content is best promoted to an automotive audience. Everything else just brings in randoms that ultimately unsub once they realize they don't like car repairs and upgrades.

@@HomebrewSubaru I've learned the hard way over the years how the algorithms work. Keeping things non-confusing for the machine learning seems to work better. But sucks not being able to share more of your interests with people in the same channel. Hope you've been doing good brotha!

    • @HomebrewSubaru

UA-cam is funny like that. The audience and algorithm both love overly opinionated topics. I knew the title alone was going to draw people in. It's just not the type of content I want really want here even if it is more successful. Simply put, I will just build another channel to use that sort of thing and double down. Things are picking up across the board. Been getting out into the woods plenty and really enjoying the rig. Got on some more serious trail. Forester has been eating up everything with no problems so far.

@homebrewsubaru no problem. I watched small channels blow up until 2016/2017 when it started to seem like only very specific channels had the potential to find that momentum. It used to be that if you put the work in, you could have a solid chance at being found. The algo is bullshit. But you did touch the wire the right way with this one.

    • @HomebrewSubaru

It's when the video begins and there is no personality. Some creators go faceless and narrate their own channel, which is fine. It's these very human sounding voice readout apps alongside stock footage that is the trick. People thinking they are watching an amazing video when it's just some random article that has been altered and read by some software.

Social media has it's forms. Livestreaming was bigger than video creation for a long time and for some people it still is. Short form content will eventually settle down to a similar level. I've seen a few creators close their channels because the shorts started building tens of thousands of subscribers but their regular videos had no views at all. I've been over it for months. I've just been playing with the algorithm to see how it reacts. This channel has been categorized and I was able to prove it. Thanks for the support man!

See if you're using a special tools you should let the audience know whether it can be done with any optional tools. If not it will be greatly helpful if you let the audience know where to get it from.. otherwise how somebody is supposed to do the job, the same thing that you're showing other UA-camrs also showing.

I believe the man I purchased these tools from twenty years ago is now dead. My apologies.

But don't you have to check the drum shoes first to see if it needs to be replaced? What kind of special tools are you using! Most people may not have that so what can they use? Where can I buy it from? I think adding that information will make your video better.

Please note that the title of this video is NOT an instructional on how to check your drum brakes.
